Breton Tyner-Bryan is a director, choreographer, and performer based in New York City. Recent work includes Vinegar Tom (Theatre C), Heading East (BD Wong), Cotton Candy and Cocaine (New York Theater Barn), Parisian designer Yazbukey fashion film, choreographic mentee under Sergio Trujillo (Donna Summer Broadway), Night and Day feature film (Alan Brown), and choreographic workshops for “In the Heights” (Kennedy Center). Breton is a 2018 Artist in Residence at CUNY Kingsborough, and 2019 artist in residence at The New Victory Theater 42nd Street. She is the creator of Breton Follies, an evening length cabaret production featured in Dance Magazine and commissioned byJacob’s Pillow’s Festival.
Film/Television credits include The Knick (HBO) Steven Soderbergh, Studio City (VICE), Manhattan Love Story (ABC), TEST (Chris Mason Johnson), Stories from the Microchasm (John Sanborn). Choreographic commissions include, Westfest, BCBEAT, NYU, Marymount, AMDA, Montclair, New Jersey Dance Theater, Broadway Dance Center, Joffrey Ballet School, and performing alongside The Martha Graham Dance Company at its Benefit for Haiti. Breton has created installations for New York Fashion Week, The Pierre Taj Hotel, Pantsuitpower (Madonna), Don Most (Happy Days), Young Arts Miami, and Woodside Vaulters Equestrian international competitions. Previously she was ballet mistress at Sleep No More and Ballet Hispanico. She holds a BFA in Ballet Performance from the University of Utah.
