Massachusetts native Nicholas Ranauro is a 2014 graduate of The Juilliard School, and a proud alum of Broadway Dance Lab Cycle 4! With an interest in thoughtful, story based work, Nicholas has shared pieces in the New York Jazz Choreography Project, the Pushing Progress Showcase Series, and BC Beat Spring 2017. His choreography has represented Juilliard’s Dance Division on benefit tours to Aiken, South Carolina and outreach performances throughout the Burroughs of NYC. He’s been the recipient of inaugural residencies at both Nimbus Dance Works in Jersey City and Urbanity Dance Company in Boston. Most recently he was recruited by filmmaker Britt Kubat to choreograph a fashion film, Memoria Sexual, for the online publication Solar Magazine (http://www.solarmag.es/). Currently touring the US with The Phantom of the Opera, other performance credits include iLuminate; Artist of Light, Andy Blankenbuhler’s Joseph… Dreamcoat, Elf the Musical, NBC’s Maya & Marty, Seeing You; an immersive experience co-directed by Randy Weiner and Ryan Heffington, Keigwin & Company, and New York City Center’s Encores! Production of Brigadoon. Nicholas continues to play with branding and project development under the title dancecandy (instagram @dancecandy_). He is a GYROTONIC® certified instructor, and is proudly represented by CESD Talent Agency.
